This tutorial is designed to help you edit a PI-Photo Projects Template

If you are doing this for the Beginners Workshop

*the original layout must be recognizable
*the colors may be changed
*additional mats may be added
*the background can be changed by using any fill in PI
*add at least one element or embellishment from the PI-I Scrapbooking site
*add some words or journaling
*re-size to BW forum guidelines

Add Your Own Images

Open the 5 images in your PI workspace.

Now, go to File-Share-Photo Projects.

Click C01 and the template will open in your workspace.

You will see your 5 images in the bottom of the left column.

Click on the image that you have chosen for the middle stamp. Drag and drop it there.

Repeat this process until you have replaced the template images with your own.

Moving Your Images

Select the 2.Customize button at the top.
Click on your image in the middle. You now have re-sizing handles.

You can do two things with these...
1. You can reduce the size of your image by clicking and holding a handle while dragging toward the center
2. You can move your image to have your favorite part showing on your stamp.

Now is the time to resize and/or move the images on each stamp with your re-sizing handles until you have them to your liking.

Just for Fun

Right click anywhere on your background. You will get a pop-up menu with Call Outs and a few Banners. Go ahead and try them out. If you don't like them just use the delete key now or you will also be able to edit them later on in your PI workspace.

Notice that you can adjust the size with the drop down menu or with the re-size handles.

Click OK on the bottom right of your workspace and your template will now be on your PI workspace.

Changing the Background

Making sure that nothing is selected on your image
go to Edit-Fill-Texture-Tab Group-Natural Texture.
I chose NT55, but feel free to choose a background that works well with your images.

NT55 seems a bit to vivid for my page so...
...Photo-Blur-Average- I chose the second row, middle thumbnail.

Now that is definitely giving my layout the cold feeling of that frosty January morning.

Changing the Text

It's time to choose some text color and journaling to compliment the layout.

Click on "My Title" and select your text tool.
Change the color of your text to suit your background.
Right click-edit text and add words to your liking.

Finishing Touches

Select the white mat (background) of the top left stamp.
Right click and duplicate.
Edit-Fill-Texture-Tab Group-Natural Texture (Shortcut=Control F)Texture-NT55-OK

We need some contrast so...
Photo-Light-Brightness and Contrast(Shortcut=Control B)
Click the bottom left thumbnail 2 times.
Using your transform tool-rotate to the left 15 degrees.
Right Click-Arrange-Send to Back

Repeat these steps for the bottom right stamp, rotating to the right instead of the left.

Adding Some Bling

Please use an element or embellishment from PI-I Scrapbooking to add a personal touch to your Photo Project.

For this layout I used a tag from Jeri's January Mega Kit

Thanks Jeri!

You are welcome to use a different embellishment, but please give credit to the author when you post your project.

And one last touch... your watermark and the date.

Now You Have a
Great Photo Project Page
Ready to Print

If you are doing this for the BW, please be sure to re-size according to the guidelines.

The following clickable thumbnails show many different interpretations of the same layout. Nature, family, pets, history are a few possible themes. Let your imagination run wild!
A big thank you to all the friends that contributed their beautiful designs.
